User must verify their account on www.facebook.com (405)

If you’re trying to connect your Facebook account with PilotPoster and getting this error,  that means Facebook is blocking PilotPoster from logging into your account.

This is a normal thing. When someone tried to log in to your Facebook account from different location, this happens as a safety measure because Facebook thinks someone is logging to your account without your permission.

In some locations, the login security is more rigorous than others.

To resolve this issue, the best way is to generate access token on your local computer so you can get access token on your computer with your local IP and add it to PilotPoster to connect your account.

This would be possible to do with the PilotPoster Access Token Generator app.

Follow the steps to connect your Facebook account to PilotPoster:

1. Contact PilotPoster Support and let us know your operating system and we’ll send you the download link for the desktop application for your operating system.

It’s only provided to Paid customers to protect the system.

2. Open the desktop application and it should look something like this:

PilotPoster Access Token Generator

3. Enter your FB email address and password in respective fields and click the Generate Token button. It’ll generate your accounts access token in a few seconds.

4. Click the copy button or select the token from the box and copy it.

Note: Please do not share your access token with anyone.

5. Go to PilotPoster App > Facebook > Manage Accounts and add the copied access token in the access token field as shown below.

After that, click on the Add Facebook account button and your account will be successfully added to your PilotPoster account.

Recently, you might have noticed that when you publish images to Facebook fan pages, you encounter an error like the one below;

The action attempted has been deemed abusive or is otherwise disallowed Error Details: Warning: This Message Contains Blocked Content: Your message couldn’t be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive. Error Code: 368

There’s no need to panic when you come across this because it is due to an error in our API which we hope to rectify soon.

However, this can be easily fixed by simply using an external image source as explained in the Method 2, 3 and 4 of this article on how to add images to your post via Pilot Poster.

Note: You can upload images normally if you’re posting to just Facebook Groups and Profiles. This only affect the FAN PAGES.

Drop your comment below if you have any question regarding this article.

Issue Fixed: Facebook for Android and iPhone Apps now work fine.

If you have posted a Link using Pilot Poster and the OG Image does not display on the post published to Facebook.

We’ll like to let you know that this issue is caused by the update on Facebook’s API which has affected Facebook for Android and Facebook for iPhone Apps.

The Fix:

Kindly Authenticate HTC Sense and Set it as your default app. See guide here

This is a temporary fix while we work on a solution for the Facebook for Android and iPhone apps.

Starting from version 4, Pilot Poster introduced a free auto comment feature that can be used to bump your Facebook group posts. This article shows how you can set up auto comment on your posts.

Note: Auto-Comment works only on SCHEDULED POSTS

You can only comment on posts published using the schedule function and not posts published using the Send Now option. Also, you can only comment on posts published using Pilot Poster.

To set up comments for your Posts follow the steps below;

1. Create your Comments: The first step requires you to create your comments. To do this, From Main Menu, go-to Auto Comment > New Comment. Create as many comments as you’ll like (Note: Make them as real as possible, so they don’t look like spam).

2. Schedule Comment: To schedule a comment, you need to visit your already scheduled Posts. From Main Menu, Posts > Scheduled Posts > Auto Comment

3. Plan your Schedule: The next screen requires you to plan your schedule. The following options are available when planning your comment schedule.

  • Choose a Facebook Account: You can select the Facebook accounts you wish to post from (If multiple Accounts are selected, they are chosen randomly during posts)
  • Choose comments: Select the comments you wish to post (Comments are posted randomly)
  • Delay: Set the interval between each comment. (Do not post too fast)
  • Start & End Date/Time: Set when your comments should start posting and when it should end.

NOTE: Pilot Poster let you post maximum of 100 comments daily

4. Comment Pause & Log: You can stop and track your auto comment logs just the way you track your scheduled posts. To see the progress of your comments go back to your Schedule Posts, Click the Auto Comment icon once again;

On this window, you can see the progress of a commenting schedule, you can Pause, restart and view comment history.

To see the full log, click the View History button.

A successful comment will have the View Comment button, which will take you to the published comment on Facebook.

While a failed comment will be shown with the error code. The most common error code is (#200) Cannot Access Object ID which means the user does not have the permission to post comments to the post due to the post still PENDING or REMOVED.

Facebook announced it’ll be dropping the link customization fields from its Graph API starting April 18th, 2017. And the fields were actually dropped on the said date.

Although we were able to find a temporary solution to this in Pilot Poster version 3, the reason why the link field customization was still available to users.

However, after upgrading our API version weeks ago (an upgrade required for a better performance of the system). Unfortunately, the Link Customization work around stopped performing as expected and many users, even after customizing a link, the changes will not reflect on the actual post on Facebook.

This led us to the decision of removing the Link customization fields in Pilot Poster version 3.5.

And in this guide, we’ll be showing you how you can still customize how your links are displayed on Facebook using on page OG (Open Graph) Meta Tags customization.

NOTE: This guide is for those who have access to the backend of the Page they’re sharing to Facebook

If you are a blog or website owner and it runs on Wordpress, it is quite easy customizing how your shared link looks on Facebook. Simply follow the guide below;

  1. Install Yoast SEO or MashShare WordPress Plugins
  2. When writing a new post, scroll to the bottom of your screen to locate the social media tab.
  3. Edit the Image, Title, and description as you desire, and save.
  4. After Publishing or Updating your Post/Page. Simply copy the URL to the Link Field on Pilot Poster and all your customized data will be automatically added.
  5. Use this LINK to test what your post will look like on Facebook.

Unlike WordPress that you only need a plugin to customize your links, customizing a static page/landing page is quite as easy. Follow the steps below;

  1. Open your HTML file with a text editor.
  2. Locate the <head> </head> section of the file.
  3. Insert the following tags with the content below (Replace meta data with yours).
    <meta property=”og:image” content=”https://www.pilotposter.com/images/pilot-poster.png”/>
    <meta property=”og:title” content=”Pilot Poster | 100% Free Facebook Group Auto Poster”/>
    <meta property=”og:description” content=”Automatically post to all the Facebook Groups”/>
  4. Save your file and copy the URL to Pilot Poster’s Link field.
  5. Use this LINK to test what your post will look like on Facebook.
